We've whipped together a fun, fairly fast, strategic snooker variation that's fun to play on a smaller table. Six ball snooker is a thing, but I've never played and ain't real sure of the rules, so we made it up as we went along.

You're gonna need six stripes and the 23456 balls from an 8-ball rack. Rack them like so...

The six stripes get pyramid racked in any order with the green 6 sitting behind them. The orange 5 is center table between the side pockets, the 2 goes two balls from the first diamond,, the 3 center table between the first diamonds, and the 4... feel free to flip the 3 and 4. edit: You should flip the 4 and 3.

Now we mostly play snooker.

Make a stripe which are worth one point, pot a solid worth 2-6 points, replace solid to its original position. Repeat until stripes are gone. Once the stripes are gone run the 23456 down in rotation for the for the face value points of the ball. Snookery.

We've changed up the rules a bit to make it faster. Fouls are ball in hand, ~~but not touching an object ball gives the opponent the choice where the ball was shot from or where it came to rest.~~ Two points to the opponent for the foul instead of four. It's a lower scoring game then full snooker. Plus we foul a lot:)

So for scoring it's

Stripe = 1 point
Solid = 2-6 points (face value)
Foul = 2 points for the opponent plus... ball in hand ~~or choice of shot~~

Most points wins:)

Broke Into the Old Apartment

We've had a large door that was painted shut since we moved in. Being of plenty space and plentiful laziness, we hadn't opened it until last night. It's the (non-working) freight elevator for whatever type of business used to be downstairs...
